Business with Germans

Germany has Europe´s largest economy and many foreign companies have to deal with German companies and business people.

Most of them speak English more or less fluent. But there is a variety where misunderstandings might occur.

• You are giving a presentation not realizing as a native speaker which idioms and colloquial expressions you are using that are barely within a German businessman´s range of knowledge.
  This might lead to misunderstandings and insecurity, finally on both sides.
• Germans speaking English tend to simply translate their native behaviour into English but differences in manners, habits and doing business are obvious and need to be understood from both sides
• And maybe you would like to do the honours and simple small talk with some German as an ice-breaker.

I offer rereading your presentationsand eliminating English hard to understand, giving usefull hints for your business with your German partners considering your type of business and service. As well I teach German as a foreign language for you to have a polite introduction.
